Currently Listening: Oklahoma! Broadway (1979 Broadway Revival Cast)

1st Anniversary - and still completely head over heels!

This time last year I was preparing for one of the happiest days of my life. This year...I am swimming in the happiness of being married to my best friend (not Christy!   sorry Christy!) and favorite husband (which is easy cause I only have one!)

In 3 short days I will have been married for one full year --- this is a major achievement for some, marriage just isn't what it use to be. But for Shaun and I is has been fairly easy. That whole, "the first year is always the hardest" thing really didn't apply to us. And even though my loving husband bought me my dream house for our anniversary, he is also flying me down to Florida for our anniversary. Short story, Shaun had to go to a Columbia Campus in Florida for three weeks and this is the last weekend (our first anniversary weekend!). Needless to say I was bummed and although I had settled on celebrating the following weekend, it just wasn't the same! And then Shaun said, fly down here. I booked the ticket and tomorrow I'll get to see him. Since we'll only be about 2 hours from Disney, we are driving down so I can show Shaun the parks and so I can see Christy. Hey! It's her anniversary too since she was my maid of honor! I'm so excited.

While I do have familiy here to keep me from being so lonely, it just ain't the same! I've missed my husband very much. And I hate not having him around, after being married only one year, I can honestly say I just feel safer with him around. Hey, when you read the title it should have told you this would be a lovey-dovey posting! You were were warned!

I hope everyone has a great weekend! And if you need something to celebrate...you can celebrate Shaun and our 1st anniversary...either way, you'll be celebrating with us in our hearts....in fact, I'm so beside myself with the feeling of love that the whole world is celebrating our marriage....at least in my head!

The wait is over!

Well, it's offical! I'm a graduate student of Norwich University. In two years I will have my Master's of Art in Military History! The school is in Vermont but I dont' have to go that far. It's an on-line degree program so I can also work on my Master's in Teaching here in Missouri. Yeaness! I'm so excited!

Well, that's all I got for now.

It's over

So, I have offically finished my last class to complete my undergraduate degree. Whoosh! I am currently out of school and waiting for the offical notice to say I'm back in school. I get off in 45 minutes, since I'm taking a half day and I'm not working Monday so that's a nice long weekend. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

I've decided to start working on my project - a book!
